What's the purpose of this?

A quick read on what I wish to accomplish

I hope to encourage you to break through societal limitations and challenges to fulfill your dreams through a practical and realistic approach which I'm following on my journey. I haven't made it yet either, but I'm willing to do whatever it takes to get there. The road to success is very interesting, it’s a ride filled with emotions, challenges, setbacks, excitement, thrill, and fulfillment. I want to keep sharing my learnings and experiences along the way, hoping to inspire you to truly pursue your goals and prepare yourself for the possible challenges along the way.

Many of us aspire to accomplish great things in life, but often the societies we grow up in or the environments we are exposed to prevent us from reaching our true potential. This is why I believe it's important to discuss it.

I grew up as the youngest in a humble family. The love I experienced was absolutely beautiful. Many of us can share a similar experience. My family loves me unconditionally, and I want to be a source of happiness for them.

We are seven siblings, all of them now married. I was lucky enough to learn from my siblings' experiences, avoiding many lessons they had to learn the hard way. They've always been very open and honest with me, trying their best to ensure I didn’t make the same mistakes they did. Yet, despite the love and strong bond we have, they still couldn't give me a direction that would help me become the person they really want me to be.

Most valuable realizations I've got:

Our minds are significantly influenced by our environment. We build habits subconsciously or, as James Clear says in Atomic Habits, non-consciously. Whatever is most prevalent in your surroundings is what you're most likely to be influenced by. If procrastination is common, you'll be drawn to putting plans off. If you're surrounded by smart and intelligent individuals, you're likely to develop intelligence in the same way.

We follow a basic rule of physics: The path followed between two points is the path with the least resistance

Our non-conscious mind is constantly observing the environment and pushing us toward the least demanding tasks. Your environment plays a major role in your day-to-day life. You can learn more about designing your environment in line with your goals through Atomic Habits by James Clear.

Most of us believe we can accomplish a lot just with sheer willpower. The truth is even the most successful people don’t test their willpower that much. We assume that successful people have an overwhelming passion for what they do. Passion is important, but what really matters is consistency. If you keep challenging your willpower every day, you'll start rationalizing missed opportunities. After a streak, missing doesn’t hurt. And once missing becomes easier than pushing through, you’ll eventually make the biggest mistake of all. You’ll lose consistency.

Juice for thought. It takes a 50% return on a $100 investment to turn it into $150 but just a 33% loss to get back to $100

We all can go to the gym a couple of times or even for a few weeks in a row. We can stick to a strict routine for a few days or even weeks with sheer willpower or an occasional motivational boost. But eventually, pushing yourself every single day gets exhausting. You start to rationalize missing a day here and there. That’s when we lose the most precious part of the process. Consistency
